2024 Rooty Hill November Knockout

| Time: | 7:15 pm start |
| Initial Seeding Order: | The initial pairings for round 1 will follow the same structure as the FIDE Swiss System. Seeding will be done using ACF Quick Ratings. |
| Knockout Brackets: | Players who win their game will proceed into the next round of the main bracket, and this will continue until a winner of the tournament is decided. Players who lose their game will be moved into the “losers” bracket, so you will still get more games! There will be two “losers” brackets. Players are welcome to play friendly games as well if they are knocked out of the tournament. |
| Time Control: | 10 minutes per player for the first game. If the first game is a draw, the second will be an Armageddon, where white has 5 minutes and black has 4 minutes. A draw is a win for black. |
| Entry Fees: | Free entry for all players! |
| Other Information: | This event is UNRATED, as it is the first time we are hosting a knockout event. Games will still be played to the FIDE Laws of Chess. There are no prizes for this event. Entries on the night may be taken at the organiser and arbiter’s discretion. |
